THE SIMS MEDIEVAL CC FULL
I think the only way it would work is if there were individual worlds that you can jump into, like we have now, but focus upon that one theme but in which case that would mean that every expansion pack would be like a full blown game in its own right and I just can't see EA doing that - they might and it would be cool if they did but it would also seriously limit the content other players of the game could have.įor example, I hate medieval. As I mentioned above I am under the assumption that TS4 is also going to reflect every day suburbia so any future expansions would simply be an add on. I don't think it would be doable in TS4 either I'm afraid. Those trailers are staged though and I'm suspecting that when the game actually comes out there are still going to be normal cars cruising along next to the futuristic modern ones, breaking the immersion just like what always happens with strongly themed content. There is a lot of demand out there for a Medieval expansion.

The cool thing about The Sims is it continues to provide something for everyone. Not everyone is interested in Big City life of Bridgeport. There is no reason why it shouldn't be very doable. But what we are really talking about is what we would like to see in The Sims 4. A medieval expansion might indeed be challenging for The Sims 3. But have you seen the trailers and what little has been published about the Into the Future expansion? Have you seen the hover taxis. If you are suggesting it wouldn't work as simply a store world I agree with your points about taxis and whatnot. Sure people had fun with it and it was decent enough but it is also a smack in the face to fans because you just end up thinking that the game could have been so much more than it actually was. The Medieval spin off game was a good start but it fell short, it wasn't really a Sims game, it was an adventure game with a bit of a sim-like coating on top of it.

The best thing EA could do was work on a separate game dedicated towards the medieval theme but if that was the case then though I would never buy it I would still want them to do it properly otherwise there is just no point doing it at all. Heck it happens with all themed content and while perhaps less jarring it will still happen with this new expansion pack. EA could put in all the content in the world but you will still get normal cars driving through your perfect medieval town - something that already happens with Dragon Valley. My own opinions on the medieval theme aside here there isn't much you can do to bring about a true medieval experience with the game we have now nor would it really work for The Sims 4 assuming it is still going to replicate suburbia. But I think there is a lot of demand for an actual Medieval expansion within this game. Perhaps the OP was talking about a remake of that other game. Dragon Valley was a very nice store world but they would sure make some money if they did another more strictly Medieval store world. A lot of people wanted the Medieval content in this game. I don't know if this was the intent of the OP but I think that a Medieval expansion of The Sims would have sold great.

There is a lot of disappointment by some Simmers that we are getting Into the Future as a final expansion and not a Back to the Past. I think the topic is extremely appropriate. While I wouldn't mind an Medieval EP for Sims 4, it would lack the proper mechanism found in a spinoff dedicated to that feature. I feel like Sims 3 Medieval concept is pretty good and ambitious, but they lack the storytelling element that the main game has. I have always wanted to make the kind of Disney fairytale storyline where my prince/princess grows up and falls in love with one of the commoners or a storyline where the heirs fight over the throne and hire assassins. Sims 3 Medieval takes away all that story progress and created a very linear experience, IMO. Sims for me is about open world and creating your own story. Unfortunately, the game turned out to be a major disappointment for me. I remember how I was more excited for the game than I was when Sims 3 released. I love the medieval theme, and I have always wanted for them to make a Sims Medieval. It's a bit too early considering the main game will not be released until next year however, seeing that video games often take a while to develop, it may worth a try to see what Simmers think about them remaking Sims Medieval again.
